MEDIA REVIEWS

The debut novel of Michele Mack’s, Henry Fickle and the Secret Laboratory is the first volume of a planned trilogy that will have a special appeal to young readers ages 8 to 12 who have enjoyed J.K. Rowling’s imaginative Harry Potter books or such delightful fantasy stories as Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Fans of the Harry Potter books will enjoy this little adventure. It is not as involved and complex as a Harry Potter novel and would serve as a good way to introduce children into the wonders of reading. And parents will like this book too, especially if they read to their children because the chapters are short and carry the action along at a pace easy enough for a child to follow.
